I Started Installing Tile

I installed some of the tile over Thanksgiving. It is kinda early to start this, but I will cover it and it won’t be bothered by the drywallers or painters. I have to use the time I have available to make progress. We picked out beautiful tile for our house. I love the way it looks installed.

Angus loves the green onyx in the guest bath. Can’t you tell from the look on his face?

This is the honey onyx in Evangeline’s bath, my favorite.

Outdoor Kitchen

With the completion of the outdoor kitchen, the mason is officially completed, check out the picture below. The 30″ grill with doors below on the left, the double side burners with drawers below in the center and a refrigerator on the right. This will have the same granite countertops as the kitchen. We added an elevated backsplash to protect the grill from the wind.

I hired some obreros to stack up the extra stone, we had about eight pallets laying on the ground around the house. Not enough to build a stone fence in the front, but it would probably be enough for half. We are going to wait until the house is completed before we start any projects that are not in the budget.

Fancy Stone Bibcocks

Every time I use the term hose bib, people look at me sideways and say ‘huh?’ Should I use the term bibcock or sillcock or frost-free instead? Check out the pictures, hopefully you can tell what I am talking about. I added three garden hose connection valves around the ranch and placed them in these stone columns so they would not get damaged. We cut sandstone tops to make them extra pretty. Now I can water the new lanscaping.
