House Completed – Exterior

We moved into our house a few weeks ago. I finally have enough unpacking complete to post some pictures to my blog. These are all exterior shots, not many changes here in the past few months. The tile was installed in the outdoor shower. The massaranduba was completed at the entry sleeve. The HVAC compressors were set. We had the land around the house graded and covered with a layer of sanding loam. I planted buffalo grass seed but it has not rained enough to germinate so much of it has washed away.

Tower Chandelier

The tower chandelier is installed. Shannon found this in town at NEST, but they refused to sell her the floor model and said it would take a month to get another one. Funny thing is that we went home and found it online for half the price. Thanks for not selling it to us! It is made of multiple sizes of stainless steel balls and hangs down fifteen feet from the ceiling. Just the right scale for our 28″ high tower ceiling. We also like the way they interact with the ceiling pendants.

You can also see the trimless recessed lights in the picture. They have a spot that has an adjustable gimble and the perfect square look for our house. The slot diffusers are also in. Those 4’X3″ white slots are the AC vents. They are usually used commercially but look great here also.

Driveway Landscaping Completed

Here are a few pics of the completed driveway with landscaping. The center is landscaped, the grass I planted around it hasn’t done much. I planted a bunch of Cody Buffalo grass from seed but it is difficult to germinate and we haven’t had much rain so I believe most of it has washed away. As soon as Shannon will let me buy a tractor I plan to fix the grading and plant more grass seed. I will probably try Blue Gramma next, it is supposed to be easier to grow.
